Two years ago, the founders of Gradely took their bag packs and started on a journey to revolutionize the learning experience of Nigerian children from kindergarten through to the senior secondary school level.

They had realised that technology could indeed be a powerful tool for transforming learning; hence the birth of a system that now not only affirms, but advances the relationships between educators, parents, and students.

Two years down the line, Gradely has reinvented the approaches to online learning and collaboration. It has shrunk the perennial problem of learning gaps and has adapted learning experiences to meet the needs of all learners.

We launched Gradely in August 2019 with just Mathematics, and as always, our amazing team of developers did a great job to ensure that our users were having a hitch-free numeric learning experience.

Because of the knowledge that no two learners are exactly alike, Gradely’s birth allowed for a more customised learning experience. We were committed to providing individual students with Mathematical content and supports that were particularly helpful to their individual needs. From our Diagnostic tests to our personalised recommended practice questions on CatchUp! and of course video lessons and tutorials. The mathematical journey became more like a walkover for a lot of our student users. You might want to see to THIS.

We rolled out the English Language a few months later and it was indeed laudable. Even more, than we had expected. Now our users had at their study disposal the two core subjects needed to gain entrance into the higher institution.

At Gradely, every day speaks of new opportunities. We are always striving to ensure our learners have no reason to cringe but instead, be an incubator of exploration and invention for our learners.

For this reason and more, we’re happy to announce that the Basic Science subject for the Primary and the Junior Secondary education has been added to our subject pool. Like Mathematics and the English language, the Basic Science subject will give our learners nothing short of an authentic, fun, and personalised learning experience which of course comes with the right digital tools and support for all our learners to thrive.

Why Basic Science you might ask? We all know science helps our understanding of the world around us. Everything we know about the universe, from how trees reproduce to what an atom is made up of is a result of scientific research and experiment.

Moreover, human progress throughout history has largely rested on advances in science. From our knowledge of gravity to cutting-edge medicines, Science students have definitely played a part in shaping our modern world.

All of these advances can trace their origin back to individuals learning about science as students. That’s why it should be in your interest as a parent and as a school, as well as it is in ours as a personalised learning platform to promote science as a subject that ensures the next wave of progress in all of the fields that affect our daily lives.

A Basic Science Diagnostic Test Question

Like Robert Schuller rightly said, “Today’s Accomplishments Were Yesterday’s Impossibilities.” Our learners are our biggest motivation and we will continue to improve our platform to ensure every child’s learning journey is a success every step of the way. Watch out for the next one!

Ready for some Basic Science challenge? See if you can answer the question below. Who knows? We might just have a surprise for you.
